The 2024 Orthopaedic Trauma Symposium will present a review of new techniques to address common fractures encountered in practice. Didactic sessions focused on new and emerging concepts will be presented by expert faculty. Additionally, skills labs to make the concepts discussed more granular will be offered.


Objectives
Share experience and approaches to challenging cases with colleagues and expert faculty to enhance understanding of recommended treatment and management strategies.
Recognize the challenges posed by bone loss, infections, non-unions, and other issues and take steps to mitigate complications and adverse outcomes.
Identify unique and difficult fracture patterns and problems in the orthopaedic trauma patient and utilize the best treatment options and algorithms for these difficult cases.
Apply performance improvement tips to improve interactions that can result in enhanced patient and provider outcomes and experiences.
Incorporate an interprofessional team-based approach in the management of common and complex fractures.

The optimal way of preventing chronic pain is to treat acute pain appropriately, using evidence-based medical, interventional, rehabilitation, and psychological modalities. This year's course will include speakers spanning pain medicine, physiatry, and sports medicine.
The content is designed to assist the busy health care provider with evaluating and managing common and sometimes challenging acute and chronic low back pain conditions more comfortably.

Attendees will interact with pain management and sports medicine specialists during special panel sessions and see first-hand the practical benefits of physical therapy and tai chi/movement therapies through hands-on breakout and demonstration sessions.
As part of our symposium activities, we will also be featuring lunch time lectures on state-of-the-art topics at 12:15 p.m. PT on Tuesday and Wednesday the week of the symposium. Please see the course brochure for more information on registration for this complimentary sessions.

The Philadelphia Spine Research Society (PSRS) and the Orthopaedic Research Society (ORS) welcomes you to the ORS PSRS 7th International Spine Research Symposium. The meeting will be held at Skytop Lodge located in picturesque Pocono Mountains, Pennsylvania, a short drive from Philadelphia from November 10-14, 2024. This exciting multiday meeting will provide a forum for discussion of the latest research, medical innovations, and the most advanced scholarship in Spine Research. This course is designed to enhance physician and advance practice provider comfort in the management of patients with diverse spinal disorders and conditions. This two-day course focuses on discussions concerning the management of spinal disorders, as well as technological advancements, controversial spine topics, complications and socioeconomic issues. The course provides a mixture of didactic, case-based and evidence-based guideline review, along with an opportunity for panel discussion.

This conference is designed for physicians, athletic trainers, physical therapists, physician assistants, nurses, and other healthcare providers who treat pediatric patients with sports medicine injuries and orthopedic problems. Attendees may choose to attend in-person or virtually and afternoon breakout tracks in Sports Medicine, Rehabilitation, and MSK Ultrasound will be available.

The 10th Annual Spine Trauma Summit provides an update on the current evidence-based practices in spine trauma care. The meeting combines lectures with interactive sessions to address questions and develop a consensus on best practices for all key areas of spinal cord injuries. It also includes live surgical demonstrations and a hands-on BioSkills session for in-person learners.

This conference will enhance recognition of key injury variables and provide important updates on spinal cord injury management and the latest techniques in minimally invasive spine fracture treatment.
