The 2026 BSSMC Program had an expanded Concussion Day, led by Dr. Jeffrey Kutcher, to Monday afternoon and all day Tuesday. The same was true for Orthopedic Day all day Wednesday and Thursday morning.

The course creates a unique opportunity to hear about these changes directly from world-renowned physician-specialists; team physicians and athletic trainers for the New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox, Boston Bruins, New England Revolution, Boston Legacy, and Boston Fleet; and physical therapists on the cutting edge of rehabilitation.

Musculoskeletal complaints are among the most common reasons children and adolescents seek medical care, yet many pediatric musculoskeletal conditions remain challenging to recognize and manage. Delayed diagnosis can lead to unnecessary morbidity, while appropriate early evaluation and referral can improve outcomes. This interactive course provides clinicians with a practical, evidence-based approach to the assessment and management of pediatric musculoskeletal conditions encountered in primary care, urgent care, sports medicine, emergency medicine, and specialty practice. Through expert-led lectures, case discussions, and clinical pearls, participants will strengthen their skills in musculoskeletal examination, differential diagnosis, imaging interpretation, and treatment planning. Topics will include common orthopedic and sports-related injuries, gait abnormalities, fractures, overuse conditions, hip and knee pain, spine disorders, developmental conditions, and recognition of red flags that warrant urgent evaluation or specialty referral.
