Matrix OI® FlexIT, when hydrated, is a thin pliable osteoinductive verified cortical sheet that has the ability to be sized with scissors or a scalpel. It is a sterile graft and is available in various sizes and dimensions. It may be used for the repair of orbital floor and zygomatic fracture procedures involving sutures, plates, anchors, and other fixation devices. It may be used in orthopedic, trauma, craniomaxillofacial, neurosurgical, and dental surgical procedures where the repair or replacement of bone loss is indicated.
The grafts are freeze-dried and sterilized using low-dose gamma irradiation to achieve a sterility assurance level (SAL) of 10-6. The grafts should be stored in ambient temperatures (59-86° F or 15-30° C) and have a shelf-life of up to 5 years from the date of packaging. (http://www.cellrighttechnologies.com/index.html)
