The Gorilla® BOW & ARROW Evans Plates include 4 plating options that are universal for left and right, and correspond to the PRESERVE™ Evans Lateral Column Lengthening Wedges. The four sizes of plates include a medial spacing feature that is available in 6 mm, 8 mm, 10 mm and 12 mm. Four screw fixation of the BOW & ARROW Evans Plate helps to prevent subluxation of the calcaneocuboid joint with dorsal displacement of the distal calcaneal fragment. The plate helps to prevent graft subsidence with subsequent loss of calcaneal length seen in the early post-operative period due to graft resorption.
The tapered “BOW” at the back of the plate helps to evenly distribute vertical pressure along the graft due to the anatomically matched taper, with the point decreasing risk of tearing or attenuation of the lateral aspect of the long plantar ligament.

Anatomic considerations were at the forefront of the Gorilla BOW & ARROW Evans Plate design. The low profile (thickness 1.15 mm) nature of the plate helps to minimize risk of soft tissue irration. The ramped plantar aspect of the plate helps to minimize interference with the peroneal tendons and sural nerve.
